Heritage Open Day: Reigate Beaumont Care Home welcomes you to a tour of their beautiful grounds and the history surrounding the home. Reigate Beaumont, originally called Pine End'; has an interesting history. It was originally designed by distinguished architect, Blunden Shadbolt in the 1920’s and built of plain brick, which was unusual for him. He specialized in designing 'Tudor Style'; buildings from ancient materials. 'Pine End'; was first listed under a Mr William D. Anderson in 1926, a magnificent timbered residence featuring oak panelled walls.
In the 1930s it was remodelled and extended in a mock Tudor style by Robert Lutyens for Sir William James Mallinson (2nd Baronet).
