Florence Nightingale Museum

Heritage Open Day: Did you know Florence Nightingale was the first female member of the Royal Statistical Society? That she owned over 60 cats throughout her life and helped design St. Thomas's Hospital? You can learn about these subjects and even more when you visit! Florence Nightingale is one of the most iconic and recognizable figures in British history and our museum focuses on telling the story of her life - from her wealthy upbringing, to her time in the Crimean War, to her later life and ongoing legacy. Our museum has one of the largest collections of artifacts belonging to Nightingale and many pieces relating to the Victorian Era.
