Naturally Dyed: A Student Showcase

Heritage Open Day: Naturally Dyed: A Student Showcase A group of 15 Hanson Academy year 10 textiles students will showcase their dyed textile final pieces in a degree style showcase. They will be taking part in a three part experience, including information gathering and research, a practical workshop and a reflective showcase - which you're invited to! The students will focus on the Victorian ornamental designs and patterns of the era, in line with the city’s main architectural style. Students will experiment with natural dyes and shapes to recreate some of Bradford's heritage.

The students will curate an exhibition of their textile creations in the museum at Hanson. Their pieces will be displayed with their name and some annotations describing their individual learning journeys. Come and view their artwork on Friday 19th September (between 1600 - 1830).
