Heritage Open Day: Local architecture both ancient and modern. Ruin of fourteenth century church currently undergoing restorative building work, therefore highly visible but not accessible. Display, artefacts and light refreshments in adjoining modern church. Displays, information and artefacts to examine. Four-minute walk to community garden featuring: *flint wall with six mosaics covering the area's history from 2,000 BC to the present day.; *two rustic pergolas, one of which is designed for collecting rain-water and providing shaded seating. Fifteen minute walk to modern passiv homes in recent new build area. Network of tarmac footpaths with cycle tracks to explore, some dating from Roman period, others established this year; all named after wildlife , many using old Norfolk words.
Full disabled access to church, ruin patio, garden of remembrance, and Bowthorpe community garden; and along footpaths.
