Heritage Open Day: Visit Captain Sandys-Winsch's beautiful Grade II listed park, redesigned in the 1930s. As well as great views from the pavilion balcony, there will be flowerbeds in bloom, live music, and exhibitions of the history of the park and its bowling club. One of a series of Norwich parks free to the public, and built or redesigned in the 1930s, Waterloo Park has been lovingly restored over the last quarter of a century by Norwich City Council. The park, which has been awarded a prestigious Green Flag award for the last four years, is maintained by the council with the support of the Friends of Waterloo Park.
