An overview of finds from Doctor's Meadow Southborough

Heritage Open Day: Discover a collection of recent finds from Doctor’s Meadow, located in Southborough between Southborough Common and Camp Field, which has clearly enjoyed a long history based on artefacts located on the site. Join us for an overview of Doctor's Meadow - maps of the site will be available for you to closely examine along with a wide range of artefacts, including musket balls, horse shoes/stirrup, used bullets and a World War II, RAF Sweetheart Brooch.

We have explored several features, including pits, pathways and a potential World War II lookout post. The site is still under active investigation to locate new features currently covered by vegetation and brambles.

Please note: that this event takes place on Southborough Common, and the Doctor's Meadow is not open as part of the Heritage Open Days festival.
