Heritage Open Day: Free tour of a temporary exhibition, 'Home & Away - Football in the Army' which explores the role over the last 100 years that football has played in supporting morale & identity in the army and ammunition factories. For Heritage Open Days, the museum is providing free access to a temporary exhibition, 'Football & War - the role of the 'Beautiful Game' in the Army'. This exhibition explores different aspects of the role of football in the army and also the teams created by female workforce of the ammunition factories and prisoners-of-war during WW1 and WW2.
