How closely should the story stick to the facts? When does a little creative licence help - and when does it hinder? Is it even possible to talk about the past without contaminating it with modern ideas and sensibilities?
This is an invitation for anybody who loves this genre to hear an author's perspective on getting through the minefield intact - and for you to share your own experiences of being transported to another age - or being made to explode with rage!
