Town Hall Open Day & Meet the Mayor
Heritage Open Day: See what's on behind the doors of the Town Hall on Saturday 7 September, 11am-3pm with a chance to meet the Mayor and inspect the insides of the Town Hall chamber! You’re invited to see what’s kept in the Town Hall’s Chamber - from paralympic torches to the spectacular ‘bling’ cabinet! The Mayor of Aylesbury will be there too so come with any questions and have a snoop around the Mayor’s Parlour. There’s even a chance to have a cuppa with the Mayor himself! Learn about the history of the Town Council, Town Mayor’s of the past and the historic paintings in the Parlour.
As part of the Town Council open day, we are pleased to be working with John from Stewkley Film Archives, who holds the digitised films of a number of local cinematographers active in the Buckinghamshire village of Stewkley and Aylesbury through the 1960s to modern time
