William Blessley - architect
Heritage Open Day: Mr William Henry Blessley designed the chapels which once stood in the centre of the cemetery. He also designed numerous other buildings in Middlesbrough and the surrounding area. Local historian and Member of the Friends of the Cemetery had undertaken extensive research into Blessley’s life and work and he will present an illustrated talk. The event will be accompanied by the display of our scale model of the chapels.
