Heritage Open Day: Local Historian Dennis Chapman , tells the story of Cuthbert Broderick, the nationally renowned architect, who designed many famous buildings
including an early version of Hull Guildhall, Leeds Town Hall and the Grand Hotel in Scarboro, which, when i Cuthbert Broderick was born in Hull where his father was a well to do merchant and ship owner.
He was the sixth son of ten children of John and Hannah Broderick.
The family lived at 39 George Street one of the best residential streets in Hull.
