Julian of Norwich Reading and Guided Tour

Heritage Open Day: Come and discover the earliest female author in English, and the history of the Julian Shrine in Norwich. This reading and guided tour explores the history of one of Norwich's oldest and smallest churches, and the literature of its most famous resident. Now an internationally significant place of pilgrimage, St Julian's Church attracts visitors from around the world who come to pay homage to Julian of Norwich, who lived and wrote at the church over six centuries ago. This guided tour explores the pre-Norman origins of the church through to its destruction in wartime bombing, and reincarnation in the 20th Century as a shrine and place of pilgrimage for lovers of Julian and her Revelations of Divine Love.
