The Hill, Stroud. Hosted by Stroud Freemasons

Heritage Open Day: A unique opportunity to visit the Grade 2 Listed 17th Century merchants house at The Hill, Stroud. Built in 1634 for Thomas Webb ’de Hill’.

Discover many period features within the house and visit the purpose-built Masonic Room. The Hill is an out-of-the-way ‘secret’ location within the heart of Stroud, an historic town based on the wool trade. The Hill’s location remains relatively unknown to a high percentage of the local population.

Built in 1634 for Thomas Webb 'de Hill' the 17th Century Cotswold stone-built merchants house still retains many of its period features including original oak wood beams & panelling and turn of the century Art Nouveau ceramic tiles.
