Historic Aston Parish Church open day

Heritage Open Day: See over 6 centuries of monuments to the people who changed Aston including industrial giants and the Aston man who was the first to translate the complete Bible from the original Greek into English and was burnt at the stake. Climb the 1480 tower. a Children’s quiz, self-guided tours and free light refreshments all day plus a programme of special events -

12 00 - Guided Tour of the principal monuments. Robin Draper Events Coordinator (Visits) Church Monument Society. Meet in the meeting Room
12 30 - Take part in Asian celebration music with a Punjabi group. Meet in the north aisle
14 00 – Talk - John Rogers (1500 – 1555) Aston’s protestant martyr. Meet at his memorial in the meeting room.
14 30 – General Guided Tour.
