Guided Tour of North Malvern Clock Tower

Heritage Open Day: The Clock Tower near Tank Quarry, with its modern work of art the Cascade Gates (2007) in welded steel, by artist and sculptor Rose Garrard. Water tower in brick and red terracotta, with clock, erected 1901. Tower in four stages, with cornices, has crenellations and animal waterspouts. Clock on four faces. Base of Malvern stone with ashlar dressings to doorway. Incorporates an earlier stone recording that 'The inhabitants of North Malvern have placed this stone to record that these tanks were erected at the sole expense of and Charles Morris Jun Esq of Portman Square London in 1835 and 36. Ye young and aged poor pray that the blessings of God may be abundantly poured upon him who has poured abundant blessings upon you'.
