Bullington Church Fete

Heritage Open Day: On Sunday 14 September, the Church of St Michael and All Angels will open its doors when it hosts the Bullington Fete between 1400 and 1630. There will be a selection of stalls, including local produce, cream teas, a tombola and a bouncy castle. Celebrating the HODs theme of Architecture, visitors will be able to see several features of St Michael's dating to the Middle Ages, when it was assigned to Wherwell Abbey, including: the Nave and Chancel, the Font Bowl, two windows and a doorway. Nestled by the River Dever, there is a neighbouring Mill that was rented by Saint Elizabeth's College in Winchester during the fourteenth century. There is also a public footpath to a footbridge over the Dever at Chimple Row, which is mentioned in a Fine in the year 1241.
