Heritage Open Day: Discover 900 years of history with free entry to Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery. Standing proudly atop its historic motte, Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery is a landmark of the city’s skyline and past. Originally built by William the Conqueror as a Royal Palace, its medieval Keep is undergoing a major redevelopment to restore it to its former grandeur, set to reopen in 2025. Alongside the Keep, the museum occupies the former wings of Norwich’s Victorian prison. The site’s other galleries feature extensive collections of international importance, including historic and contemporary fine and decorative art, archaeology, and natural history.
Engage with hands-on activities and interactive displays for all ages.
