Heritage Open Day: Join us this Heritage Open Day to explore how the library's role, design, and atmosphere have changed over the past 120 years. Supported by the Ribble Valley Stanza group, you'll hear stories from its past and uncover hidden architectural details. Opened in 1905, Clitheroe's Carnegie Library has stood as a proud symbol of learning and community for one hundred and twenty years. From its largely unchanged, Renaissance-influenced exterior to the ever-evolving interior, shaped by generations of readers, thinkers, and local life, this building tells a rich story of both endurance and transformation.
