Blackpool Masonic Hall

Heritage Open Day: Sited on Adelaide Street, Blackpool. Home to Fifteen Craft Lodges, Six Royal Arch Chapters, a number of associated Degrees and most recently three Ladies Lodges. Over Four hundred and Fifty members make up the membership. Fully licenced facilities. Freemasonry first came to Blackpool in 1847, a year after the railway station was completed in the town. In 1888 a plot of land was purchased in Adelaide Street, Blackpool, for the sum of £1,700. In May 1898 the cornerstone was laid for a Freemasons Hall by the Right Honourable Lord Skelmersdale PGW and on completion in September 1899 the building was also opened by him when he had become Lord Latham and the new Provincial Grand Master.
