Exhibition about the work of Claude Verity, inventor of movies with sound
Heritage Open Day: A fascinating exhibition about the making of the first movies with a sound track. A process invented by Claude Verity and first shown in 1921 Claude Verity worked from a small workshop close to the town and first showed his work to packed audiences at the Royal Hall in April 2021.
The exhibition has been curated as a collaboration between Harrogate Civic Society, Harrogate Film Society and the West Park Centre at West Park United Reformed Church.
