Natures Architects at the Common

Heritage Open Day: Explore Nature’s Architecture on Brockdish Common. A ‘hands on’ event including displays and a mix of practical activities, all connected to natural and man-made homes for wildlife. Based on the beautiful village common and inside the village hall, the mix of activities will include:
• An informative exhibition of birds’ nests presented by Suffolk Wildlife’s Wilder Communities Adviser
• A display by Harleston Swift Action Group including examples of swift nesting boxes and also the erection of swift boxes at Waveney Heritage centre and a home close to the common
• Practical, all-age activities building bug hotels and nesting boxes
• Display of photos taken locally with the theme Nature’s Architecture
• Den building and exploration activities for children.
The special, vintage bus service will provide transport from Harleston to Brockdish Village.
