Heritage Open Day: Visit this Grade II listed Victorian Parish church with splendid wall paintings and stained glass. This beautiful church was designed by T H Rushworth and built in 1864 of red brick and Portland stone.It is a fine example of neo-gothic architecture situated near the roundabout on the A329 (London Road) and A332 ( Windsor Road) near Heatherwood Hospital.
One's eye is taken by the stunning wall and ceiling paintings in the nave and chancel ( Heaton, Bayne and Butler) and other Victorian features.
There are also memorials to local heroes inside and outside the church. On the day there will be tours of the church and parking refreshment and toilet facilities will be available.
