Heritage Open Day: Housed in the iconic Grade 1 Listed, timber framed, Tudor Moot Hall and home of the Town Council, the museum showcases Aldeburgh's rich and diverse history from the Anglo-Saxons to the unique seaside town it is today, via digital and manual displays. Find out how the town became a thriving fishing and shipbuilding centre. Discover how the changing coastline has shaped the town and explore its development as a seaside resort, an artists and musicians retreat and learn about the Moot Hall, a Tudor building still in use today for local governance. Step inside this unique Timber Framed building, that was also the town jail.
