Heritage Open Day: The Costume and Textile Association invite you to take part in a craft workshop to stitch a bookmark, styled by textile designer Stephen Worth, celebrating architectural features of Norwich related to the textile workers who made the city great. The Costume and Textile Association shines a light on architectural clues, from medieval graffiti to canary cages glimpsed through wide window casements, revealing the influence of the highly skilled textile workers, spinners, weavers and dyers who, for centuries, were responsible for the growth and prosperity of Norwich.
Find out more and make something with fabric yourself in their drop-in workshops in the Norman Cathedral (Bowerbank Room).
Each participant will be able to embellish and take away a bookmark, styled by textile designer Stephen Worth. No experience necessary, all welcome.
