Sea Shanty Flash Mob at Ipswich Heritage Harbour

Heritage Open Day: For the first time ever, local shanty groups will be performing a flash mob at Ipswich's Heritage Harbour! Led by The Orwellermen, and the Shefarers of Pin Mill, and organised by the Ipswich Maritime Trust as part of the maritime festivities. Sea shanties are a wonderful reminder of our maritime past. The songs were often sung to accompany jobs aboard ship, such as hauling sails, or to commemorate heroic events or family back home. The flash mob - somewhere on the Waterfront! - will include old favourites and some modern compositions too. Come along and join in!
