Heritage Open Day: Visit Ledbury's Hidden Gem! Outside an imposing Georgian and Victorian Mansion but come inside and revel on the spectacle of the Great Hall of the original Tudor timber frame Hall House of 1487. The Master's House built in 1487 has been at the centre of Ledbury life for more than 500 years. At its heart is the original timber frame Tudor Hall House but throughout its 500 years of history there have been many adaptations and additions. Originally a home for the Master of St Katherine's Hospital (founded 1281), successive occupants have altered it to suit their own needs. The building you see today is a product of all these changes, with the modern restoration carried out between 2011 and 2015 revealing the many faceted story of the Master's House.
