St Catharine's Church
Heritage Open Day: St Catharine's Church open to the public. St Catharine's Church on London Road will be open for visitors to have a look around and enjoy some light refreshments. The parish of St Catharine’s is probably unique in that during its 465 years it has had three churches, and a period of over 200 years when it was without a church building yet continued to survive and flourish. Today, the third and remaining St Catharine’s church is on London Road and includes a number of references to Saint Catherine, with the famous wheel featured in a number of places around the building.
