Keynsham Abbey Open Day

Heritage Open Day: The remains of the medieval Keynsham Abbey are open to visitors. There are interpretation boards, a trail for younger children, a scale model of the Abbey, a guided talk, a display of carved stone, and a tile game. Keynsham Abbey is open to the public who can explore the remains. Understand the layout of the medieval abbey and see examples of the stonemason's art. Explore the medieval herb and flower gardens. Interpretation boards and volunteers are on hand to answer questions.

A guided talk highlights the history of Keynsham Abbey and the Abbey site, including information about Heahmund, a warrior bishop, and Jasper Tudor, uncle to Henry VII, both of whom were buried at Keynsham Abbey.
