Heritage Open Day: A chance to explore the glorious church that is St Bartholomew’s in Edgbaston St Bartholomew’s church began life as a private chapel to the Manor House (currently Edgbaston Golf Club’s clubhouse) in about 1270. It is now more easily recognised as a Victorian Gothic, grade II listed church, thanks to the efforts of the Victorian industrialists who settled in Edgbaston and J A Chatwin is the architect who effected this transformation.
If you have ever wandered past the church, or been stuck at the traffic lights, and wondered what the church is like inside, this is your chance to find out.
