Heritage Open Day: St Peters Church offers much of interest to all visitors. This Grade I listed building boasts the four styles of medieval church architecture and is full of historical interest. It will be 900 years old in five years time. St Peter's Church, with its Norman arches to the north aisle dating from around 1130, shows the four styles of English church architecture. Extensive research on all styles of architecture to be found in the church has been carried out, and this is displayed at every focal point, together with more detailed information.
For example, the south aisle has graceful Gothic arches and there is a double piscina in the chancel and an angle piscina with sedilia in the south aisle.
