Heritage Open Day: Explore this mediaeval church, a place of continuous worship for over a thousand years. The 15th century church building has elements dating back to the 12th century. There are records and comprehensive details of church life and worship and local history across the years and connections to the families who lived on the nearby Temple Newsam Estate.
As part of this year's theme of Architecture, you can also see how our church has evolved over time with a photograph of St. Mary's from 1950. A children's quiz will also be available for our younger visitors on the day!
