Low Moor Munitions Explosion Walk

Heritage Open Day: In 1916 there was a huge explosion at the Low Moor Munitions Factory which manufactured picric acid and 40 people, including 6 firemen were killed. The site is now under landfill. The walk visits places affected. On Monday 21st August 1916 there was a huge explosion at the Low Moor Munitions Factory.
