Heritage Open Day: At Nightingale Road Cemetery, in addition to seeing the work of the charity, within the chapel buildings, a copy of the cemetery records will be available for reference and the new memorial garden opened in November 2018 can be seen. Skillway (Charity) was founded in 1997 to support teenagers by providing them with training that develops both their practical and personal skills. Our tutors are skilled craftspeople, supported by volunteers, who work alongside young people in a peer-to-peer relationship in the workshop. Our aim is to strengthen student's employability, self-esteem and positive outlook on their future. We are located in The Old Chapel (Grade II Listed) within the classic Victorian Nightingale Cemetery, where the Jack Phillips memorial stone can be seen next to the caretaker’s garden. A copy of the cemetery records will be available for reference.
