Sunny Bank Mills - Built In Cloth

Heritage Open Day: Explore these atmospheric mills which produced some of the finest cloth in the world. Visit the Museum & Archive, the Art Gallery exhibition , our artists' Open Studios, giant sheep & Family Trail before enjoying refreshments in the Tea Room. Dating from 1829, Sunny Bank Mills was an important woollen and worsted mill, with a stimulating history. It is still owned by the Gaunt family who helped found the Mills in late Georgian times. The unique collection at Sunny Bank Mills' Museum & Archive based at Red Lane Mill will be open, containing a complete record of cloth samples woven at the Mills since the 1880s.
