Heritage Open Day: St Wilfrid Harrogate is a major parish church and the only Grade I listed building in Harrogate town. The parish hall and the Lady Chapel were built in the mid 1930s by talented architect Leslie Moore and this HOD we will be celebrating his work. The parish hall at St Wilfrid Harrogate was part of a later complex of works including the Lady Chapel, vergers cottage and cloisters designed by Leslie Moore and built in the mid 1930's. The hall has a remarkable lamella roof structure which you will be able to see close up as part of this exhibition and open day, and find out more about how the lamella works, the history of the building and how this much-loved community space has been used throughout the years.
