Heritage Open Day: The church is a Grade 1 Listed Building on the at risk register. Guides will be available to give information about the history of the building and inform visitors about the programme of work to be carried out relating to the roof restoration. Parts of St. Andrew’s Church date back to the 14th century with possible earlier origins. Following the theft of its lead roof - the last taking place in 2017 - a temporary felt roof was put in place, but ongoing exposure and multiple issues have left the structure vulnerable to further damage. Within the tower and other areas of the flint are sections of red chalk from Hunstanton.
This is the first year the church will be joining Heritage Open Days. We look forward to welcoming visitors to this village church which overlooks lovely parkland. Within the churchyard setting are a number of Commonwealth War Graves.
