Bawtry Hall and Gardens Open Day

Heritage Open Day: A chance to look around this Grade II Listed Building and its extensive gardens. Bawtry Hall, a Grade II listed building was designed by Architect William Lindley and build between 1780 and 1785 for Wakefield Wool Merchant and MP, Pemberton Milnes. Following his death in 1785, his only child, daughter Bridgit returned to the house in 1810, following the death of her husband the 4th Viscount Galway of nearby Serlby Hall. The Dowager Viscountess Galway commenced a remodelling of the 9 acres around the Hall to create an extensive parkland up to her death in 1835.

The building is now used as a Wedding and Function Venue, but is opening especially for Heritage Open Days this year.
