Explore Medieval Church and surrounding Conservation Area

Heritage Open Day: St Laurence Church is a Grade I listed building and is one of only four remaining mediaeval churches in Birmingham. The Norman Door was part of the original C12th church and is the oldest piece of architecture in the city. The church is open to appreciate the medieval and subsequent architecture. The church is in a Conservation Area and guide books are available to explore and enjoy the history of the immediate vicinity. There will be a guided tour on Saturday 13th September at 10.30am. There will also be bellringing and handbell ringing demonstrations.
