Skinner Street United Reformed Church Open Days

Heritage Open Day: This historic Poole Church is nearly 250 years old! This non-conformist building, constructed in 1777, is the oldest church building in Poole. It has historical connections with the merchants and fisherman of Poole, with the Newfoundland Fishing trade as well as men in the Tank Regiments in the First World War. The Sunday School was a very important feature and there are pews in the gallery built especially for children. It is still used for regular worship today.
The history of this building and information of both the religious and social story will be available, with some guides available. Access to the gallery is with a guide only.
Tea/coffee may be available for a small charge.
