Heritage Open Day: Celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Georgian Nave in Epsom's largest historical building St Martin's hosts a range of events over the weekend including a exhibition of the building's history which stretches back to the Doomsday Book. There's a staged adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Pride & Prejudice' on Saturday evening at 7.30 (this is a ticketed event). At 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon historian Peter Ross gives a talk on 'Dining with James and Jane: Eating at Home with the Georgians'. Peter unites Jane Austen with Norfolk clergyman James Woodforde to illustrate the domestic lives of the Georgians. On Sunday evening at 5 o'clock there is Choral Evensong - 'cathedral style' worship with music led by the choir. The Bishop of Dorking will preach.
