Wisbech General Cemetery

Heritage Open Day: Guided walks in small groups around this beautiful and peaceful Victorian cemetery. Join us for a guided walk around this beautiful and peaceful Victorian cemetery.

This small corner of Wisbech, approximately 3 acres in area, was established in 1836 as a garden cemetery primarily for non-conformists. The site was closed in 1972 and is maintained by The Friends of Wisbech General Cemetery as a valuable woodland wildlife habitat. Working to a management plan, this small group of volunteers aims to provide a place which is both inviting and interesting to visitors.
