St Patrick's Church, Salter Street
Heritage Open Day: Grade II* listed Gothic-style, Victorian Church. Architect was W H Bidlake, a leading figure in Birmingham Arts & Crafts Movement. Murals by Bernard Sleigh and The Last Supper painting by Frederick Davis. Magnificent panelling and carvings, of both oak and stone, throughout the church, often depicting flora from the local countryside. There are many angels and saints also to be found, along with an enormous number of shamrocks!
