Heritage Open Day: Pannett House dates back to 1860 as the residence of Mr Pannett, an esteemed Whitby benefactor, and retains its charming Victorian architectural features including a Victoria Bathroom in all its finery and entirety. Pannett House, located on Normanby Terrace in Whitby, has a rich history as the former residence of Robert Elliott Pannett, a prominent local benefactor. Built in 1860, it retains its Victorian charm and features, while now operating as a bed and breakfast. Pannett, who also funded Pannett Park and the Art Gallery in Whitby, lived in the house until his death in 1920. Mr Pannett also bequeathed The Victoria Spa Well to the people of Whitby which is also opening its doors for Heritage Open Day 2025.
