Heritage Open Day: A contemporary 18th-century Grade II Listed Georgian townhouse, with its wonderful Bottle Window which despite facing north gives a bright light airy feel to the staircase, has been restored with real care to the past history of the building. This beautiful 18th-century Grade II Listed Georgian townhouse alongside 7 and 11 Upgang Lane was known as Union Place after the Union Mill. Number 9 was rebuilt in 1790 and alongside number 11 was in splendid isolation. Formal access would be as today from Upgang Lane with carriages moving around to the Coach House accessed from the south on Spring Vale.
Within the building there is ornate Adam Georgian plasterwork and cornices.
