Heritage Open Day: Faces of Ukrainian Dream is a moving pop-up exhibition that brings to light children’s hopes through the prism of lived experience, memory and creativity. These are the voices of Ukrainian children whose lives have been profoundly shaped by war. Each artwork, letter, or reflection offers a tender, powerful glimpse into their dreams—of peace, of freedom, of a future without fear.
Children from across war-affected regions in Ukraine, as well as those who found temporary refuge abroad, were invited to share their experiences through visual storytelling. Among the finalists are children now living in Milton Keynes, who escaped the conflict and found safety in the UK.
What emerges is a deeply human collection of resilience and emotion.
