Wolverton Community Orchard Autumn Celebration

Heritage Open Day: An Autumnal Celebration at Wolverton Community Orchard - Refreshments, barbecue, live music by local musicians and children’s crafts. Our Community Orchard was created over 20 years ago from a neglected and overgrown allotment site. Now home to over 50 productive fruit trees and native hedging, it’s enjoyed by the community all year round and especially at our regular events. It’s maintained by volunteers who meet every Tuesday morning for gardening and much more - we love to welcome new faces!

We have a wildlife pond and sensory garden as well as a polytunnel and growing plots which support our local Wolverton in Bloom team. Refreshments are served from our 150 year old railway carriage. In 2023 we were delighted and honoured to be awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Services, equivalent to an MBE for volunteer groups.
