Heritage Open Day: Echoes of Chandigarh: A Linear Journey, showcases the work of artist Suminder Virk, inspired by Brutalist architecture of her hometown Chandigarh; and James Leighton displays his collection of historic cameras, made in the Jewellery Quarter. Echoes of Chandigarh is a free exhibition in the Hive's gallery from the 4th to the 26th of September: Midlands based artist Suminder Virk captures the essence of the brutalist architecture in her hometown Chandigarh. The city’s Capitol Complex was designed by Le Corbusier, influencing the development of modernism in the 20th century.
