The Plunkett Prize - The View From Here
Heritage Open Day: Partnering with the Norfolk and Norwich Archaeological Society, Hungate is proud to host the exhibition 'The View From Here', showcasing the shortlisted submissions to the Plunkett Prize Photographic Competition 2025. George Plunkett was born in Norwich in 1913; he acquired his first camera in 1931, and in the years that followed he photographed, developed and printed over one thousand rolls of film, most of which recorded Norwich and Norfolk.
In 2025, NNAS inaugurated a new photography competition, recording Norfolk, its people and places, present and past. Hungate are delighted to be able to host the resulting exhibition of images which met the challenge of 'photographing our present and past for the future'.
