The Pompey Pals Remember

Heritage Open Day: In this talk by The Pompey Pals Charity, you’ll hear about some of the campaigns which resulted in the ultimate sacrifice for so many local servicemen and intense grief to hundreds of families in our area. The personal stories of some will be told... You'll learn who the Pompey Pals were, and what the Pompey Pals Charity was initially set up to do: Remember and Honour those who went before.

Since 2014, the charity has expanded its aims and now looks to commemorate all Portsmouth region citizens who have served in this country’s armed forces, or who have lost their lives as a result of enemy action from 1914 to the present day.

Their researchers work tirelessly to uncover our history for future generations. You will hear about just a few of the people that they have gathered detailed service stories of...
