Ribble Steam Railway & Museum

Heritage Open Day: Explore Ribble Steam Railway & Museum like never before during Preston Heritage Open Days — with special access to our museum, workshops, diesel shed, conservation centre and turntable. As part of Preston Heritage Open Days, Ribble Steam Railway & Museum is opening its doors wider than ever before! In addition to our main museum, you can step inside our active workshops (RSR and Furness Railway Trust), visit the diesel shed, and tour our Conservation Centre. We’re also excited to showcase our turntable, currently under restoration. The site follows the route of former industrial lines that once served the bustling dock and local factories, playing a key role in Lancashire’s economy.
